How I work

I work from my consulting room at West Moors where I practise a holistic ethos. This means getting to know you as a whole person. Sounds silly? – No.

Our mental and physical health are very much intertwined, and one cannot function without the other.

Honesty, frankness, a willingness to change and, importantly, commitment of your time are all essential characteristics in striving for the desired result.

Working in partnership, we will use a wide range of techniques based on constructive discussion. This will culminate in a personalised treatment plan aimed at achieving speedy and long lasting results.

I fully understand if you may feel a little sceptical or nervous about exploring hypnotherapy.  You may have some preconceived ideas of what it all means, but during our initial meeting we will discuss these, allay any fears you may have, put your mind at rest and even have some fun on the way.

I attended the reputable Anglo European School of Therapeutic Hypnosis in Bournemouth where I became so influenced and inspired by solution focused and evidence based hypnotherapy that I felt driven to put into practice this proven therapy and so share and implement those techniques with you.

I work from time to time alongside other health professionals, for example GPs, psychologists, counsellors, hospital consultants, dieticians and nutritionists.  One of the great attributes of hypnotherapy is that it works so well with other therapies and health disciplines.

In particular I can help you with:

  • Pain control
  • Irritable bowel syndrome
  • Depression, anxiety and moods
  • Stress in the work place and in leisure
  • Fears and phobias
  • Insomnia and improving sleep pattern
  • Loss, bereavement and grieving
  • Weight reduction and management
  • Low self-esteem and self-worth
  • Exam nerves
  • Public Speaking
  • Academic and Athletic performance
