About me

My name is Sylvia Kennedy, I am a mature lady with a wealth of experience, both professionally and in life skills.  As a qualified nurse and counsellor my life has been spent predominantly at senior management level, specialising in various NHS settings, the management of country-wide nursing homes and as Director of Clinical Services at an Acquired Brain Injury and Neurological Rehabilitation Centre.  I was also instrumental in the establishment of pain control programmes for palliative care in the community in the first hospice to be opened in Johannesburg, South Africa.

I am passionate about the process of alleviating the pain of others, whether it be emotional or physical whilst creating an environment to engender greater self-worth, confidence, self-esteem and helping others to make life changing steps.

My experience has taught me empathy, patience and tolerance,  and the ability to offer advice whilst respecting other points of view – all essential in the field of hypnotherapy.

My training and qualifications:

  • Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma (HPD):
    The National Council of Hypnotherapy.
  • Clinical Hypnotherapist (Dip Hyp) and NLP Practitioner:
The Anglo European School of Therapeutic Hypnosis.
  • General Qualification in Hypnotherapy Practice (GQHP):
